12 Spoons

I’ve been slowing down this passed year. I am older and it showss up in the mirror every morning. That’s the visual. Skin deep. I don’t want to complain. I am doing o.k.
I guess I am just feeling the need to explain. However the would take some time and more than one spoon, so I will borrow from a source that has helped me in the past.

if you want, you can Google and read “The Spoon Theory” by Christine Miserandino or click link below.

I will try to do a rough list of my own spoon usage 1-11.

  1. Wake up in the morning, get dressed, make a cup of coffee, get items out needed by others for their day, feed the animal (dog, fish, bird) Do some reading. Eat some breakfast. Help another household member with their morning needs (this has it’s own list). Watch the time. Keep us on track.
  2. Make the bed. Do the dishes. Straighten up a few misplaced items. Prepare some mailings. Check some online sources. Read some more. Take care of some personal needs.
  3. Help another household member (this has it’s own list) Help with whatever is needed. Keep us on track.
  4. Do a project. Read, watch, color, write. stamp. (omit if this spoon got used earlier)
  5. Help another houshold members with lunch (hubby’s work days are a breeze, possible to save this spoon. Hold it in reserve) afternoon needs. Reminders etc. Watch the time. Keep us on track.
  6. Afternoons. Stand by. Keep us on track. Free time? Study hall? (possible spoon saved? hold it in reserve) Gaming on PS4. (Family activity.)
  7. Do prep for dinner. Start dinner. Hubby helps with take up and serving. Feed the animals. Help other household member with needs. Check and prep items for future needs. Check on the plants.
  8. Bedtime prep for other household member. Watch the time. Keep us on track. (this has it’s own list), snack set up, Bible reading, prayer time.
  9. Prep the animals for night. Prepare myself for bed.
  10. Held in reserve.
  11. Held in reserve. Always. The day sometimes requires more than I have for the day. Which leads to stealing from tomorrow.
    • I don’t post much anymore. It takes a spoon or more.

12. Age has nullified this spoon.
