Last Third
Here we are. The last third of Fall!
For all of you that have been lamenting Winter, It hasn’t started yet. Yes, we have early snows and below normal temperatures, and definitely have had winter like events, but it is still Fall. And if one persists in calling it winter… It’s going to seem like a mighty long winter.
For those of us that don’t mind the cold and the snow, we are pleased to see this late fall weather. There might be some Thanksgiving skiing or some sledding to enjoy this year. One would think the ski resorts are delighted.
However, a Chinook, a snow eater could be just hiding in the wings. Getting ready for their lines in the next act. Ah. North Idaho. Beautiful country.
If it was a few years ago, I would be so excited. The dogs would be going crazy. We would be in the yard prepping the gear for a run. But, those are just precious memories. Tho’ they still occupy my dreams.
I have a young husky now. He has a way of keeping those dreams alive. Even though those dreams will probably stay dreams, for he is young and I old, it is still nice to be in the yard with him as he discovers the cold. And his Heritage.
I will just enjoy the season. and await the Next
I will enjoy his companionship.
We will enjoy the Last Third and look forward to life together and learning what it means to be Husky.
